Be My Valentine

Roses are red, violets are blue. Valentine's Day is coming, and I've got a look for you! As a fanatic of anything millennial pink, it's safe to assume my February has seen a lot of the soft hue. I paired up with Swap to bring you a Valentine's Day look for less. What I love about Swap and consignment shopping is the ability to find name brand and designer clothing for up to 90% less than retail prices. I'm an advocate for shopping second hand, so when Swap asked if I'd like to help style a holiday look, I jumped at the chance. I decided to see what I could find to match a millennial pink Kate Spade purse I already owned, and I'm in love with the end result! I went with a black and white polka dot collared dress, originally from Loft, and pair it with a cropped pink sweater of the same hue. In total, I spent less than $20! What I love about this look is the versatility. I could easily wear this during the day, and spice it up for a night out by adding a pair of black heels.

While some view Valentine's Day as one big eye roll, I consider it a holiday to celebrate not only love for another, but also as a day to celebrate self love and appreciation for your girl gang. This past weekend, I celebrated Galentine's Day with a morning full of brunching, mimosas and catching up with some of my favorite gals. While sadly the girliest holiday of the year will come to an end on February 15, at least all the Valentine's Day candy will be on sale.
