London Calling

London is calling, and here I go! Excited to share that I will be spending the summer in London, England studying and interning alongside other students from the University of Missouri. Having never been out of the country before, I'm excited and jittery all in one! I hope to experience as much as possible during my time abroad, including traveling across Europe to explore other major cities. If you have any travel tips, London recommendations, or study abroad advice feel free to leave a comment! Adventure awaits this summer and I can't wait to get exploring.

His and Her Belts Feat. FH Wadsworth

Flowers are blooming, sleeves are getting shorter, and spring has officially sprung! With skirts and shorts reemerging from my closet for the spring season, I have been on the hunt for statement-making pieces to help style my neutral colored wardrobe. As a fan of classic and preppy pieces, these ribbon belts from FH Wadsworth are perfect for adding a pop of color to springtime looks.

Meet Mason! My boyfriend and one of my favorite people to help me with my blog. Mason, similar to myself, has an appreciation for preppy style and a polished look. These ribbon belts are perfect for both men and women and we sported ours on Easter morning. Mason opted for the Gibson style while I went with the Kingfisher.

Thank you to FH Wadsworth for sponsoring this post.

Review: #OleGlow by Ole Henriksen

As someone who struggles with oily skin, controlling the unwanted shine in my t-zone has been an ongoing battle. After cycling through multiple drugstore face washes and toners, I decided to give the Balance collection by Ole Henriksen a go. Consisting of a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer this collection promises to mattify skin and unclog pores without stripping or irritating skin. One mention of oil control and I was in. After using this skin routine for over a month, I can honestly say it has made a difference to my skin.

As far as my everyday routine for class, I tend to skip the face makeup and stick to mascara in order to let my skin breath. While my skin feels healthier without any foundation, I feel more aware of the oil and blemishes occurring in my t-zone. I started using the Balance collection in the mornings to see if I could diminish the amount of oil on my skin throughout the school day. A quick wash with the Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser and a swipe of Balance Force Oil Control Toner and I was ready for the day. Being skeptical at first, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this product combination truly did keep my skin matte and oil free throughout the day. As I continued to use these products throughout the month, I also found an improvement with blemishes thanks to the salicylic acid within the ingredients. The products also include neem seed oil, eucalyptus, and rosehip fruit extract to help balance skin and diminish oil. I don't usually find myself reaching for a moisturizer in my skin routine, but did enjoy using the Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator before applying face makeup to control shine and increase the wear of my makeup.

Overall, I recommend this product to anyone looking to diminish oil from their skin while seeking to maintain a healthy glow. This range of products has proven a great addition to my morning skin routine and helps my skin glow instead of shine.

Thank you to Ole Henriksen for providing me with these products to share my thoughts on.
