Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn

Although summer has officially come to a close, it certainly does not feel that way. With the weather not yet fall but no longer the dog days of summer, we find ourselves in the middle of the road not yet able to commit to sweaters but not yet time to pack away the shorts.

By mixing neutrals with metallics, this look not only embodies an earthy and fashionable feel, but also utilizes a color pallet perfect for the transition from summer to fall. Shift dresses and neutral colored clothing are a great way to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall without jumping straight from floral dresses to vests just yet.

What I love about this Free People dress is the balance of elegant lace and neckline with the casualness of the shift-shape and frayed hem. With shift dresses continuing their popularity this school year, they're a great investment if you are in the market for casual-yet-cute wear.

Although I am not yet ready to say goodbye to the warm weather, I am looking forward to wearing the autumnal pieces that have been collecting dust in my closet since last year. For now, I suggest we all take note from my lovely friend Lidia pictured above and continue to wear our sandals and shifts while we still can, because next thing you know the leaves will be gone and snow will be on the ground.

A few weeks back, I was lucky enough to be invited by Olivia of a drop in the ocean to attend the back-to-school party she was throwing sponsored by Teen Vogue. The Sunday afternoon was full of making crafts, trying on clothes and learning about new beauty + skincare products all courtesy of the lovely team at Teen Vogue. A big shout out to my new friend Olivia, so happy to have found another blogger while at school! I've been an avid reader of Teen Vogue since I was just a tween trying to figure out how fashion worked, so it was a great experience to attend an event inspired by the magazine itself. Introduction to #PinkSponsoredStylist

As I begin my junior year of college, I am excited to be working alongside PINK on my campus as part of their new Campus Stylist program. By becoming a #pinksponsoredstylist, I am able to help create social media content for PINK that can be spotted on their social media channels such as Instagram and Twitter, in their newsletters and on their PINK Nation app. Through the Campus Stylist program, PINK is encouraging real women in college to show how they would personally style and wear their favorite leggings, tees, pullovers and more. What I love about PINK is their ability to take comfy clothes that are perfect for wearing to class, and adding an extra boost of style to them. I'm currently enjoying the neutral color palette of clothing including olive, mauve, grey and navy that can be seen in the fall collection currently in stores now. Make sure to follow PINK this year, you'll never know where I might just pop up!
